info
Annabelle Collette is a Maine based commercial and editorial photographer. Born in Austin, Texas, and raised in Central Texas, her work draws inspiration from the stark minimalism of the Texas landscape, contrasted with the dynamic seasons of the East Coast.
She holds a BFA with honors in Photography from the Maine College of Art & Design in Portland, Maine. Upon graduation, she worked as Lead Photographer in the college’s Marketing Department, collaborating with Creative Director Steve Bowden on the art direction and photography and for the institution’s rebrand, including numerous publications, magazines, events, and its newly designed website.
Under Bowden’s mentorship, she explored the powerful impact between photography and design and its ability to build community and evoke cultural change. Bowden’s history and experience in co-founding Fabrica’s New Media department in Treviso, Italy, introduced Annabelle to international design philosophies; expanding her perspective on the intersection of art, design, and cross-cultural exchange.
Annabelle is passionate about working with ethical and sustainable companies, BIPOC-owned businesses, and creative corporations across the US. She has been awarded for her photography by the National Scholastic Art & Writing Awards with a Gold Key Award and Silver Key Portfolio Award - honored in Carnegie Hall in NYC, NY. She also has been awarded ‘Annabelle Richardson Day’ by the Mayor of Georgetown, TX for her artistic achievements in the community. She is published in Decor Maine, Maine Home + Design, Portland Lifestyle, & Magazine, and numerous Maine College of Art & Design publications.
